EVENTS

1. The Unitarian Church in downtown Portland juries in one artist per month and I am fortunate to be the one for the month of September.  They are located at SW 12th and Main in downtown Portland.  Use the North entrance, at the corner of SW Main.  There is free church parking across the street to the South.
This is a one-man show with over 40 paintings on the 60’ ART WALL that is dedicated to fine art.  I hope that you can drop by on any Sunday in September between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM ...or by appointment.
Char and I will be there on the 18th.

2.  I am very pleased have 11 paintings displayed and to be in the company of the fine Plein Air painters who are showing their work in this new venue.  Below is the press release for Kruger Farm’s new SE 23rd and Hawthorne location.   This is a new concept in food and entertainment inspired by the many open air neighborhood markets of Italy, where the locals shop daily with their favorite vendors for the freshest ingredients.  There will also be a Grand Opening Celebration on Sunday September 4th with live music, food, art, and more.
Char and I will be there on Friday, September 2nd.

3.  Finally, we will be traveling to Colorado for the Richard Schmid Auction, Labor Day at Rist Canyon.
Two paintings: one in the silent and one in the live auction.

New Post as of 8/9/11

"BRANDING TIME"
24 x 36 oil on canvas

                                                                "TOGETHER AGAIN"
                                                               14 x 11 oil on linen panel

This painting has special meaning for me as it is my impression of the site where my mother's ashes were spread last weekend.  The Little Laramie River was a favorite spot for both of my parents during their fishing and retirement days.  My dad, Don, died in 1991 and his ashes were also scattered in the Little Laramie River.  In my mind, their spirits are joined and they are, "TOGETHER AGAIN"
