FINAL POST, March 2013s

Thanks to all who have viewed my blogs in the past, but this will be the final posting.  I have learned that trying to keep up with the many avenues of social media has been a real time thief.  My goal is to be in front of a canvas, not a PC.

In the future, I will publish a once per month newsletter showing new paintings and updating events.  My website will be the primary go-to location of all my paintings.  I will post new work to it on a weekly basis.  Please check out the new, streamlined website, and go to the Newsletter tab to sign up.

Thanksgiving Day Update

Below are a few new pieces, some plein air and others in the studio with some new tools.  I have started using linen and also added a 23" monitor for in-studio work.

Have a nice holiday season.

BERRY PICKING FESTIVAL, 24 x 30 oil on canvas panel
Late afternoon on Sauvie Island at Kruger's Farm Festival. The colors were very warm so I couldn't resist trying to get the feel of the event on canvas.

BIG SUR MEMORIES, 11 x 14 oil on linen using my photo reference (with the new monitor) from a trip that Char and I took last year.

COZY, 14 x 11 oil on linen using my photo reference (with the new monitor) from a Mount Hood day trip last year.

HOYT STEPS, plein air 11 x 14 oil on canvas panel.  Pretty chilly day, but the rain held off as I was finishing.

An added bonus is that each purchase will result in a direct Donation to CASA and it is a great way to give back to our community. It provides real help for the over 1,100 children currently in our foster care system”.
