I have been fairly busy making revisions to earlier plein air and studio paintings that I was either going to scrape or touch up. 

The 17 Mile Drive painting was from a photo taken while we were on vacation in Carmel, CA.

I have been encouraged to share my plein air paintings that have presented quite a challenge.  I'm giving it the ole 'college try', and will hopefully improve over time.

UPDATE as of May 13, 2012

The first three paintings were done in the studio.  At the suggestion of my friend Anton, the studio now has a name.  Our one-time garage, is now THE FLYING BIRD STUDIO (named for the bird sculpture above the entry...in memory of Char's mom, Betty).
